Personal Altar And The Need For It

Personal Altar And The Need For It

There has been an urgent call more than ever before for each believer to raise a personal alter for the Lord because this is where God meets with man. These account are numerous in the scripture.

An altar is a raised structure to present sacrifices or worship to a deity or better put: An altar is a place where a deity is met and appeased.
Presently, after the resurrection of Jesus, Jerusalem or the mountain no longer became a place of worship.

We need to create a specific time daily as believers in Christ to pray, meditate, study the word of God, speak to God in Songs, hymns, asking Him questions and listening for Him to speak back to you. This is how Personal Spiritual Altars are raised for God so that when we come together in fellowship it doesn’t take time for God’s presence to fall beyond our comprehension. That was why the prophets of old could call down fire from heaven, stop the mouth of  Lions, raised the dead, healed the sick and so on. We must pay the price in the place of our personal Altar because if we can relate perfectly with God vertically, it would be easy to relate with our fellow man horizontally.

In the days of old, men raised altars with stone- Noah(Gen.8:20), Abraham (Gen.12:7), Isaac(26:25),Jacob (Gen.33:18), Elijah (1king 18:31-32), Moses (Exo.17:15) Samuel (1 sam. 7:17),David (1 chron. 21:18-26), we can go on and on to enumerate but let’s us know that this is where God met with all the people mentioned above, but in our days God is going to meet us as we make our heart daily His Altar by keeping ourselves holy, studying his word, obeying what God tells us to do and much more.
Today, God is seeking  true worshippers who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth, those whose hearts give Him residence from whence they commune with Him.

If we get this right, every other walk in Christ will fall in place, no one will compel any, no one will kill goats, cows, even humans to bury because they want to appease God.  God does not accept the shedding human blood or animal sacrifice because Christ has been made the last sacrifice for man’s sin.

His sacrifice is both the end of the sin offering rituals, and the end of our sins when we have put Him on in baptism (Gal. 3:22-29).

When God lives in our hearts, it becomes needful for our bodies to become living sacrifices to appease Him because He is the altar that seeks to be revealed through us. We just need to cleanse our bodies of dross so that He will be pleased to occupy our bodies after occupying our hearts and this is preceded by Him occupying our souls.

Now when our hearts or His altars are pure, we will not misbehave to the extent of lies, cheating, jesting, attempting to ridicule our Father’s Word by lightly esteeming Him.

We often hear statement like:those God has placed in His house as ministers of the gospel who are going     about doing their own thing will be held terribly responsible because they were placed to show the people the   difference between the Holy things and unholy things.

Yes God will hold the ministers accountable for their evil deed , but do you think you that says you are not a minister God will be clapping for you for your inability to stand up for the truth?  The answer is Capital “NO”.

That speech was relevant in the law and the prophets but Jesus has made it void. How? by giving us the Holy Spirit who is the greatest teacher ever known in this present world and even in the world to  come if there will be any.

That is why THE SCRIPTURE says in Romans 2:1-2; Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for …  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which …

This means that you will not have any excuse to give God for not living according to His word. This is the no man shall teach his neighbour know the Lord … that the bible talks about.

“And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.Hebrews 8:11  and Jeremiah 31:34 .

How will this be? When we all receive the Holy Spirit of promise, He will reveal Jesus to us!

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all           things, and bring all things … But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the           Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was         with you. (John 14:26)

All Who Sit On The Seat Of The Holy Spirit Are On Their Own.

Not withstanding, we have teachers, etc. These people should not teach or speak according to their own Will! They  should speak what they hear like our Master Jesus said, what I hear from my father……What I see my father do…

So Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do … For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. …. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not … John 5:19

Jesus is our example and the first Mortal flesh to house the Holy Spirit and His pattern was documented for us to follow. He taught the Father’s mind.
He lived with His disciples to reveal the Father to them so they can also relate with Him as it pleases the Father. He lived with them as their kinsman that it was hard for any who hadn’t encountered him to identify Him because they were one and not laity and clergy setting, not holy and unholy which is the setting Moses presents in the Law by the Law..  May the Lord open our understanding through the power of the HOLY GHOST. Shalom!
