This is just a reminder to every believer, that it is inevitable that adversity must come even the Holy Bible made us to understand this that adversity must come so we need to prepare and pray to God for the grace to go through it.
The day of adversity is a measure of how sincere you’ve been in carrying your cross daily and following after Christ. It’s easy to worship God and extol the virtue and faithfulness of the scriptures when the goings are good but the day of adversity is the litmus test of how much of Christ we’ve actually become.
Many a believer have been blown away by the first wave of adversity into oblivion, many have packed up shop and pitched their tent with the devil or become atheists altogether. Many have doubted the efficacy and authenticity of the scriptures to their own destruction that’s why it’s important for believers to be rooted and grounded in the truth of God’s word, not just in the letters but in the revelation of God by the holy spirit.
Adversity will definitely come, it cannot be negotiated. The question is are you prepared? Are you an overcomer or an empty vessel? The times of adversity are not times to focus on the raging storms, they are times to look up to the great fountain of life and draw from a limitless reserve of strength.
It’s not time to become bitter, hopeless and disenfranchised, it’s time to exhibit the manifold wisdom and the magnificent power of God resident in you; it’s time to overcome!
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Pro 24:10 KJV
In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him. Ecc 7:14 KJV
May the Lord help us!
